As part of Continuing Medical Education (CME) which concentrate on  Doctor’s professional development a seminar is conducted by Human Resource department, SIMS&RH on “Building Leadership Capabilities in an Academic Medical Center” by Dr.Medha Havnurkar - a distinguished speaker engaged in Healthcare talent acquisition & training domain.

Venue: Lecture Hall-1, Medical College Building, SIMS&RH

During her presentation she stressed on below topics:

Also put light on Organization vision and mission statements. Explained importance of organization values and how to adapt them in day today work effectively. Interpersonal skills, ego handling and conflict handling with other department in work place. The session was very interactive and went beyond allocated time of 2 hours.  Doctors actively participated in question and answering session.

The seminar presided by Dr. M R Hulinaykar, Hon’ble Chairman of Shridevi Charitable Trust, Dr. Raman Hulinaykar, Medical Director, Dr.Gurumurthy Dean, Dr. S. Desai, Principal, SIMS&RH, all HODs and Doctors of SIMS & RH.

About Dr. Medha Havnurkar:

Dr. Medha Havnurkar is an accomplished results oriented executive performance coach and talent management leader with more than twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry.

Her domains of expertise are organizational development, leadership development, workforce development, performance management, clinical operations improvements, and service quality enhancements. She completed her MBBS degree from J.J.M Medical College, Davangere, and Masters in Public Administration- Health Policy and Management from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. She is one of the rare healthcare leaders board certified in four healthcare verticals- healthcare management, health care quality, learning & performance and human resources.

Currently a resident of New Jersey, USA, Dr. Medha Havnurkar works as Administrative Director- Learning and Performance at Hackensack University Health Network’s flagship hospital- HackensackUMC where she has been on the leadership team for the last 10 years. HackensackUMC has over750 beds and 8000 employees within the organization. HackensackUMC is the largest health system in northern New Jersey and one of top 50 hospitals in United States and reputed for high quality programs and services.
