Topic : Tuberculosis Update on Occasion of World TB Day Dated March 26th 2019

A one day long sensitization program on ‘RNTCP TOG 2016’ was organized on 14^th March, 2018 for interns and staff at the hospital auditorium. The program was organized by Department of Community Medicine in collaboration with Dept of Pulmonary Medicine and Pharmacology. Total participants were 71.The speakers were drawn from the members of the core committee of RNTCP. The resource persons were Dr Mir Viquar Ahmed: Assistant Professor, Dept of Community Medicine (Nodal Officer RNTCP), Dr Ravi Kumar: Professor & HOD, Dept of Pulmonary Medicine, Dr Ravi: Assistant Professor, Dept of Pharmacology.

National Pulse polio Immunization program was conducted at our Urban Health Training center, (UHTC) Kothitopu and Rural Health Training center, Bellavi, on 11^th March 2018. 50 children were immunized. Intern’s actively participated.

School Health Checkup camp was conducted at Govt primary kannada Medium school at Bullapur, 3km from our Rural Health Training Centre Bellavi on Wednesday, 14^th March 2018. 69 children were examined, of which 33 were found to be suffering from malnutrition.
