Overview of the Department:

Obstetrics & Gynaecology are the two surgical medical specialties dealing with the female reproductive organs in their pregnant and non-pregnant state. This combined practitioner of OB/GYN should be adept at the surgical management of the entire scope of clinical pathology involving female reproductive organs and to provide care for both pregnant and non-pregnant patients. The department of OBS/GYNAE headed by Dr. Mallinatha Prabhu, Prof & HOD, with more than a decade of experience. The staff including the residents of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology offers women's care services to the community. The Department will be involved in teaching and training undergraduate students of medicine. Undergraduate teaching will involve classroom lectures and bedside clinics.

Facilities:

The department has a fully equipped 24 x 7 OT and critical care centre facility with qualified specialists. The department also equipped with latest technologies in ultrasound, basic and advanced laparoscopic facility and lab report generation, delivery hall and other state of the art facilities to provide a complete care under one roof. The Department conducts 'Women's Health Camp' to provide complete knowledge on nutrition, care to be taken and overall health care for pregnant women.
