Overview of the Department:

The Department of Anatomy imparts knowledge on human anatomy including histology, embryology and osteology to the students of 1st year MBBS. The department has a team of well experienced, research-oriented and dedicated teaching faculty. Human anatomy is primarily the scientific study of the morphology of the human body. The history of anatomy has been characterized, over a long period of time, by continually developing understanding of the functions of organs and structures in the body. Methods have also advanced dramatically, advancing from examination of animals through dissection of fresh and preserved cadavers to technologically complex techniques developed in the 20th century. Human anatomy is one of the basic medical sciences, which is taught to medical students in their first year. A detailed knowledge of anatomy forms a sturdy foundation in medical career.

Facilities:

The Department is located in the ground floor of the college. The department has a state of art laboratory for students, demonstration halls, a dissection hall and a research laboratory. Having a museum with all required specimen collection.
