The Urology Department of SIMS & RH Provide the Following Services
1. Stone Disease
Percutaneous Nephrolithotripsy(PCNL),Nephrolithotomy.Ureteroscopy(URS),Cystolithotripsy(CLT),Perc-CLT,Laparoscopic ureterolithoomy

2. Endourology And Laparoscopy
Cystoscopy,TUR-BT,URS,PCNL,Laparoscopic ureterolithotomy,nephrectomy etc

3. Prostatic Diseases
Trans urethral resection of prostate(TURP),TUIP,Radical prostatectomy,open prostatectomy

4. Pediatric Urology
Hypospadias and Epispadias repairs,Orchidopexy, Pyeloplasty,ureteric reimplantations

5. Urogynecology
Surgeries for  stress incontinence,Genital prolapse and VVF repairs

6. Urooncology
Radical cystectomy and neo bladder reconstructions,radical nephrectomy,Partial nephrectomy,radical prostatectomy

7. Reconstructive Urology
Urethroplasty,surgeries for VUR,pyeloplasty

Our centre is recognized by govt of Karnataka for live related renal transplantation.Our transplantation team has successfully done 20 transplantations over past one year. 

10. Vacular Acesses Procedures And Continuous Amulatory  Peritoneal Dialysis

11. Complete Trauma Care

Trans Urethral Resection Prostate surgeries (TURP), surgeries for the stricture of urethra and ureteric stones are the most common surgeries performed by this department. Percutaneous Nephrostolithotomy (PCNL) and Percutaneous Cystolithotripsy (PCCLC) are done to remove large renal and bladder stones respectively by making a 1 centimeter cut through the skin. Open surgery for the kidney and bladder are avoided using these procedures. Live related kidney transplantation has been done 2007 onwards.  Other Vascular accesses procedures for patients like Haemodialysis and CAPD (Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis) are routinely done by the department.
