The Shridevi Institute of Cardiac Sciences is a well equipped super specialty centre located in Shridevi Research Hospital designed to serve your hearts needs. It is equipped to treat all cardiac, cardiothoracic and vascular cases.  It uses all the latest equipment and technology coupled with the years of experience in its faculty.  All surgeries conducted at the department have been successful resulting in a 100% success rate.

The Institute is committed to providing affordable healthcare to the lesser privileged sections of society providing healthcare absolutely free to the truly poor.  Cardiac surgeries have been performed for the less privileged for rates as low as Rs. 75,000 and valve surgeries for Rs. 1,00,000. Shridevi has been very successful in getting funds for the operations conducted for the under privileged. The extensive services of the department include adult cardiac surgery, adult and paediatric valve repairs and replacements and a coronary care unit.

The Institute has a Cardiology department and a Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery department. The faculty at Cardiology Department at SIMSRH & RC gives its services a highly experienced angle to which the department attributes its excellent success.

The department has a high nurse to patient ratio allowing for proper post operation care for patients who are treated.  In addition, there are anesthetists, intensive care specialists and critical care nurses exclusively giving attention to patient in the Critical Care unit.
