♻️ Plastic-Free Campus

Shridevi Medical College strictly enforces a plastic-free policy to minimize environmental harm caused by single-use plastics:

  • Ban on Single-Use Plastics: The use of disposable plastic bottles, bags, cutlery, and packaging is prohibited within the campus.

  • Promotion of Alternatives: Students and staff are encouraged to use cloth bags, steel or glass containers, and reusable water bottles.

  • Awareness Drives: Regular awareness programs, posters, and workshops are organized to educate the campus community about the harmful effects of plastic and the benefits of sustainable alternatives.

🚭 No-Smoking & Tobacco-Free Zone

To ensure a healthy environment for learning and healthcare:

  • 100% Tobacco-Free Campus: Smoking and the use of tobacco products are completely banned in all areas of the campus, including hostels, classrooms, hospital premises, and open spaces.

  • Surveillance & Monitoring: Security staff and faculty conduct routine checks, and warning boards are displayed prominently across the campus.

  • Health Education: Students are educated about the risks of smoking through seminars, posters, and special campaigns, particularly during World No Tobacco Day.

  • Support for De-addiction: The hospital also offers counseling and de-addiction services for those struggling with tobacco dependence.
