I extend a very warm welcome to all the students aspiring to join our prestigious Institution for their graduate and postgraduate studies. Shridevi Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Hospital, Sira Road, Tumkur, Karnataka, is becoming one of the best teaching and research institutions in the state as well as in the country, which is recognized by the Medical Council of India during 2013. We have an intake of One hundred and fifty MBBS students per year.

Medical college has its own dedicated teaching hospital of 850 beds capacity fully equipped, which provides excellent training facilities for both under graduate and post graduate students in all specialties to fulfill our mission of excellence in patient care, education and research. Our excellent infrastructure includes CT Scan, MRI machines, Colour Doppler, Dialysis units besides the usual Operation Theatres, ICUs, and very well equipped Laboratories. Facilities exist for specialized investigations like Mammography, various Endoscopies, Blood gas analysis and a host of other sophisticated tests. Institution welcomes students from different parts of the country with diverse in a culture, from all ethnic back ground creates a lively and exiting environment on campus in which to live and study in eco friendly environment. Our students are even being selected to present scientific papers at the national level. Besides these academic activities, our Outreach Programmes hold medical camps in the rural areas serving the poor and weaker sections of the society. This fulfills the dream of our Founder President, Dr. M. R. Hulinaykar to utilize this college to serve mankind. As teachers we have responsibility to embrace new ways of educating and learning new technologies, so our graduates can lead their exciting changes in health care. We need to be open to new modules of training, from inter professional educations to competency – based learning and take advantage of emerging education technology including simulation. Our goal is to achieve excellence in the field of higher education, it motivates the work of everyone at the institution from faculty and staff to students. It inspires our teaching and our research.
